This year's AIA New Mexico Architectural Firm of the Year award recognizes the continuing collaboration among individuals in a firm who have produced distinguished architecture over a period of ten years, and have made significant contributions to the American Institute of Architects, the profession, and their community.
Rohde May Keller McNamara (RMKM) Architecture has been awarded a total of 36 AIA awards for design excellence.
Mentorship is key to the firm’s evolving success. A unique aspect of this firm is the on-going, part-time employment of otherwise retired, accomplished professionals, intended to facilitate the acclimation of younger employees in the many aspects of project development and delivery.
The firm consistently hires UNM graduates and supports the UNM School of Architecture by providing design studio student reviews, guest lecturer engagements for Professional Practice classes and in 2002, established the UNM David Keller Traveling Fellowship in memory of their partner. The fellowship is awarded annually to an exceptional student.
